Valentine's Day

Written By Ishtiaq Ahmad on Friday 8 February 2013 | 11:04

Relationship or not, I hate Valentine's Day. He became a holiday mass-produced not only a source of stress, but it can cost an arm and a leg. Standing in line at the box office and see the size of the fund to rise steadily made my stomach turn. There is a difference of opinion as to the origin of Valentine's Day, as some believe, that commemorates the anniversary of Valentine's death or burial, while others say that it was "Christianizing" pagan celebration of Lupercalia. Regardless of its origin, the party is not the same as before. Valentine greetings go so far in the Middle Ages, as the oldest valentine was a poem written by Charles, Duke of Orleans to his wife while he was imprisoned in the Tower of London in 1415. It was not a valentine, which was purchased at a store or on the Internet is, it was a poem written by his pen and ink. This was not a mandatory sense, but a sincere expression of love.
In today's world, Valentine's Day is much more than express their love in a note written by hand. In fact, buying a Valentine's Day card for your "Honey" is just not enough. You need to buy a card for your parents, your grandparents, children, your child's teacher and friends and even pets. Even if the card is good, it is not enough now. There are sweets to buy, and if someone was really good, it is too!
Valentine's Day is not discrimination on grounds of age, sex, race, religion, education, marital status or wealth. Valentine's Day is stressful for all. If you are of school age, you must obtain Valentines for everyone in the class, and worrying about whether you'll get valentines with their classmates, or boyfriend / girlfriend. If you're in a new relationship, it is stressful, because you have to decide if you need to go big or go home. If you're in a relationship old or existing, it causes you stress, because, frankly, you're just too tired. And finally, even if you're not in a relationship you feel stressed because you feel like intruders when everyone has memories of Valentine flows offices

Of course, the entertainment industry does not help. If you do not see a trailer for a new love story, your favorite TV show is all about "love," and commercials only to emphasize the need to say and do what you love. Although I am absolutely convinced that it is important to express your love to those who are close to you, I do not think it should be reserved for a specific day of the year, and, of course, do not think that it should be the day appointed someone else. As I said, my husband, I would watch it and tell me he loved me every day, and not to make a grand gesture on Valentine's Day. However, do not get me wrong, I'm not entirely immune to the party. If my husband wants to send me flowers or give me a bit of bling, I would not say no!
